Since his debut over a decade ago with the relaxedly beautiful Animal Magic, Bonobo has been honing his craft and expanding his musical palette. His latest album Black Sands is the culmination of this development and it’s an absolute beauty, more complex and rewarding than any of his previous releases - i.e. it’s a banger that you can also play to impress chicks.
Bonobo has stepped up his concert game as well and now tours with a full live band and the vocalist Andreya Triana. His recent London shows have sold out and an extra gig at Koko on April 26th has been added to the schedule by popular demand.
