Professor Green x AMSTERDAAMN x Second Son

Category: Booze · Competitions · Events · Hey Ladies · Hip hop · Pro Green · Street Team +

Here at Second Son we’ve long championed Professor Green. Having cut his teeth as the UK’s most successful battle rapper, he has now risen through the ranks to become one of the UK’s most popular artists, whilst collaborating with the likes of Labrinth and Lily Allen along the way. This year has seen his debut album “Alive Till I’m Dead” come in at number 2 in the UK charts behind Eminem, his recent UK tour sold out across all ten dates and just last week he won the prestigious MOBO award for Best Hip Hop Artist.

Next week sees Pro leave home for an intimate European tour playing Belgium, Germany, France and on Tuesday 2nd November Amsterdam’s very own Bitterzoet. No stranger to Amsterdam and its many delights Pro is particulary looking forward to playing his first ever gig in a city that has been for many years ‘a home from home’. To celebrate this homecoming he has collaborated with us and FreshCotton to release a strictly limited Amsterdam t-shirt that comes with one free ticket to Tuesday’s Bitterzoet gig.

For your chance to get hold of this t-shirt visit here. To hear more from Professor Green check out his Facebook page here and for details on where to buy tickets for Tuesday’s gig check this.

SessioNoisses (AKA Darren Day’s) latest mix

nash-session[Session in our very own pocket tee with the one and only Nash Money]

It’s Autumn. That generally means the weather goes to shit (although that hasn’t really applied over the last few days), we all get fat and it gets dark at lunchtime. We hate winter. However, our mate Session AKA Noisses (the esteemed noisemaker of all things dutty dubsteps) has thrown his middle fingers to the onset of 2011 and has produced his Autumn 2010 mixtape.

Luckily for us, he’s been a nice chap and has whacked said mix up on Soundcloud and has only gone and given it away as a free download. Top lad! Read on for the track list, hit up Session on Twitter if you like the mix and have a good winter. We’ll be seeing you when it starts to get nice again…

Category: Booze · Events · Hey Ladies · Hip hop · Music · Pro Green · Second Son +

If you’ve been on the blog before you’ll know that we’ve been down with Professor Green since day one. For the last couple of months I’ve been trailing his tour doing my best to make some video content for the fanbase that is quickly turning into a madness. Here’s something I put together for Bestival. The UK tour starts on Friday and I shall be boarding the bus… tis gonna be a hard slog but much fun no doubt. For details of the tour and where to find tickets, look here.

Controversial I know, but not as funny as this:

Dragons’ Den x prostitution

Category: Art · Film +

Mash-up artists extraordinaire Cassetteboy have made a nice little video of Dragons’ Den where the contestant and the Dragons appear to be vying for pole position in an orgy (pun intended). As if the actual programme wasn’t unsettling enough on its own. I always thought the presenter guy looked like an AIDS turkey. Is that wrong?

No words necessary. In fact, I think these pictures may have just made words redundant from now on.

Pro Green’s new video

Category: Art · Booze · Film · Hey Ladies · Hip hop · Music · Pro Green · Street Team +

Pro Green’s just dropped his latest video for “Kids That Love To Dance” ft. Emeli Sande - an amusing parody of the joys that are Chatroulette (only there’s less male nudity in Pro’s video). Peep it below…

If you’ve not copped his debut album “Alive Till I’m Dead” then a) shame on you b) go get your copy now. It got to #2 in last week’s album charts! Definitely a big look for British music at the minute.
