Rome wasn’t built in a day…

… but our pop-up shop was. It began badly when we arrived to find that there’d been a double-booking and the head chef from Nobu was cooking in a makeshift kitchen in the gallery where we were supposed to be setting up shop. Not an ideal start, but luckily things got better from there, at least after we’d got rid of the fog of deep-fried fat that filled the room…

This is the chef:

And this is a genuine photograph of the deep-fried air:

We had to drill the rails into a wall that seemed to be made of reinforced space titanium while trying not to get dust on the sushi. I kept taking photos of Jay which he wasn’t too happy about.

But he cheered up when we found a load of framed photos of hot naked Japanese chicks with mighty zampers.

We have some artwork of our own, though it doesn’t have any big zampers in it (though there is a unicorn’s penis in one of the pictures). Nash donated several pairs of his custom kicks and hats to the show, and we have a load of lifesize blown-up photos of him modelling for our last lookbook as well. Lots of people wanted to buy these which I find very disturbing.

The Second Son x Nash Money dunks from Nash’s Trust Nobody exhibition are in there too…

… along with the Slam X Hype toy we did for Adfunture:

Apart from doing the Second Son designs I also have a lot of other important executive responsibilities like mopping.

But I left Jay to do the dangerous isht:

The whole thing was a tip for ages and it still smelt deep-fried, but it was getting there.

Luckily we had just enough time left before the launch party for Jay to have a photo opportunity with the blown-up pictures of Nash:

The party was an absolute banger and as a result I’m still too hungover to do any more blogging. So you’ll have to wait till tomorrow for the party pictures I’m afraid… And hopefully by then I will be capable of writing something that is actually interesting and / or funny.
