Our boy Reeps 1, the 19-year-old beatbox boy wonder, made it through to the Secret Wars Grand Final this year. For those who don’t know, Secret Wars is a live art battle where two contestants go head to head to paint a large white wall using only black markers and paint. The competitions started in London but have now spread like wildfire due to popular demand.
Normally Reeps provides the musical entertainment, but he turns out to be pretty damn good at this illustration malarkey as well. A bit like a kind of beatboxing Renaissance man. He is also often to be found dipped in Second Son, whether he’s winning the Eastpak Throwdown beatbox championship or playing to 9 million people at the Bollywood Oscars (no B.S.).
